I found out about this group back in October and they are AWESOME!
Monsters of Folk is a band made up of Conor Oberst and Mike Mogis of Bright Eyes, M.Ward, and Jim James of My Morning Jacket.
I definitely feel like I have to be in the right mood to listen to them, but when I am--I absolutely love them.
A few of my favorite songs are "Dear God" and "Say Please"-the latter definitely reminds me of late Beatles stuff in a good way. The music doesn't fall into any one genre, you'll just have to give it a listen.
They only have one self titled album out right now, but I'm definitely looking forward to more!

Heard of She & Him? M.Ward is also in this duo with Zooey Douchanel (SP?). Not to make you mad...but they are preforming for free at SXSW :( I'm sad to miss it too!
